a source of spring
an ever ending sandy flood
driven yellow earth
a hanging bridge
near the over floated valley
of the Yangtze kiang
port of Halong bay
flows a stream of red earth
called mother river

An entrance ticket, that dates 20 years ago, when I travelled across southern China, inspired me to write this poem! In fact four rivers have it's issue from Sichuan, China ... but the three rivers the poem is about are the yellow river, the blue or long river (Chang Jiang) and the red or mother river (Sông Cái).
